En 2023, el 35,6% de los aislamientos de Klebsiella pneumoniae en hospitales del pa\u00eds fue resistente a carbapenemes, el \u00faltimo escal\u00f3n del arsenal m\u00e9dico disponible. Cuando eso pasa, los m\u00e9dicos quedan sin opciones est\u00e1ndar de tratamiento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Un estudio publicado el 24 de marzo en <a href=\"https:\/\/www.frontiersin.org\/journals\/microbiology\/articles\/10.3389\/fmicb.2026.1740431\/full\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/www.frontiersin.org\/journals\/microbiology\/articles\/10.3389\/fmicb.2026.1740431\/full\"><strong>Frontiers in Microbiology<\/strong><\/a> por investigadores de UBA y CONICET encontr\u00f3 una conexi\u00f3n que en Argentina no hab\u00eda sido documentada con cepas cl\u00ednicas y ambientales simult\u00e1neamente: las bacterias m\u00e1s resistentes al glifosato son parientes gen\u00e9ticas cercanas de esas mismas cepas hospitalarias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"716\" height=\"525\" src=\"https:\/\/bragadohoy.site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/image-48.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-529\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bragadohoy.site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/image-48.png 716w, https:\/\/bragadohoy.site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/image-48-300x220.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 716px) 100vw, 716px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Un herbicida a base de glifosato inhibe el crecimiento de bacterias ambientales, incluso en concentraciones bajas dentro del espectro probado<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Las bacterias desarrollan bombas de eflujo para expulsar el herbicida de su interior. Las mismas bombas expulsan los antibi\u00f3ticos. Una bacteria que aprendi\u00f3 a sobrevivir en suelos tratados con glifosato lleva incorporado, sin que nadie se lo pidiera, un escudo contra los f\u00e1rmacos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El equipo analiz\u00f3 103 cepas: 68 del delta del Paran\u00e1, un humedal protegido sin aplicaci\u00f3n directa de herbicidas, y 35 de colecciones cl\u00ednicas argentinas. Aun en ese ambiente no expuesto, las bacterias mostraron distintos niveles de resistencia al herbicida. Las m\u00e1s resistentes resultaron ser las m\u00e1s emparentadas con los pat\u00f3genos hospitalarios. Las cepas cl\u00ednicas toleraron concentraciones del herbicida formulado cuatro veces m\u00e1s altas que las ambientales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Argentina usa en promedio 36.278 toneladas de glifosato por a\u00f1o, predominantemente en soja transg\u00e9nica. El equipo cruz\u00f3 superficie sojera, densidad poblacional y prevalencia de Klebsiella resistente por provincia: las tres variables se superponen en el centro del pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El estudio no prueba que el glifosato cause directamente infecciones hospitalarias. S\u00ed establece el mecanismo por el cual su uso masivo puede estar acelerando, en el ambiente, la selecci\u00f3n de bacterias que despu\u00e9s nos enferman sin tratamiento posible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p
